Viva la Difference is the fourth album by Eric Stewart released in January 2009. Originally, the album was planned to be released in late 2006/early 2007, but because of the restoration of a building he bought the recording of the album was delayed several times.[1]
Just like the previous album, Eric played almost all instruments on the album. The album is also way more bluesier than Do Not Bend[2]
'Gnome Sweet Gnomes' is written about Gnomes of Zurich, which is a disparaging term for Swiss bankers. The term was used by Harold Wilson who was a Labour Party politician in 1964 when he accused the Swiss bankers of pushing the Pound down on the foreign exchange markets by speculation.[3]
